These non-edible "cakes" are actually baby diapers assembled into tiers to resemble a "real" cake, (think, wedding cake). They are a combination of useful items the new parents can use for their baby long after the showering of gifts is over! These baby diaper cakes can be made of disposable, organic or cloth diapers and are usually embellished with beautiful ribbons and bows among other baby things. They can range in sizes from a single tier to 6 or 7 tiers or more and can be as small as cupcakes or as large as 16" - 18" round depending on what you are looking for! Larger diaper cakes can be made with pillars for a more elegant & dramatic look and can function as a stunning centerpiece on the main table at a baby shower or baby celebration. Smaller diaper cakes "serve" as thoughtful gifts to co-workers, can be taken to the hospital as a congratulatory gift for new parents or they can be shipped as welcome home wishes to parents expecting a baby in which you are unable to attend the festivities. 

     A baby diaper cake's intended use is to give expectant or new parents a head start on their diaper stock! Newborns can go through 70 - 80 diapers per week and alot of new parents are unaware of just how many diapers they will be changing every day! Small diaper cakes can contain as little as one dozen diapers, 3 tiered cakes can contain anywhere from 50-100 diapers or more and larger diaper cakes could contain 200 diapers or more! That's ALOT of DIAPERS, but new parents will definitely use them! Depending on the designer, they can be made as large or as small as you like and can be designed in any color or theme to match nursery decors or coordinate with baby shower colors.
