No baby shower would be complete without baby shower games! Here are few of the most popular and fun baby shower games sure to delight all the guests and give mommy-to-be a few laughs, as well!
How Big is Mummy's Tummy?
(this is a baby shower favorite)
What you need - Yarn, String or wide ribbon
How to Play - Have each guest cut a length of ribbon to the size they believe would fit perfectly around the center of Mummy's Pregnant Tummy. A fter everyone cuts their ribbon, each guest will take a turn at wrapping the ribbon around mummy's tummy. Give a prize to the guest who is the most acurate!
Don't say "BABY"
What you need - baby safety pins, clothes pins, or pin on buttons). Give all the guest 3 pins when they arrive, (you can use more or less depending on how many guests you have).
How to Play (to be stated at the beginning of the shower or as guest arrive) whenever someone says the word "baby" during the shower, any guest who calls it out, gets a pin from the other guest who said 'baby'. At the end of the baby shower, the guest with the most pins wins a prize.
Guess How Many!
What you need - a clear jar (any size larger than a jelly jar will do), baby pins (you can also use Q-tips, pacifiers, cotton balls, or any other small baby items or combination of)
How to play - have each guest write down how many items they think are in the jar (be sure to have the correct number taped inside on the lid). The guest with the most acurate guess can win a prize. The contents of the jar, go to mom-to-be, of course.
Who's that baby?
What you need - prior to the baby shower, or in the invitation, inform each guest to bring a baby picture of themself, no name is to be written on the picture.
How to play - As guests arrive with their photos, collect them all and mix them up. Then put them up on a cork board, poster board, or lay on a table, etc. Count how many pictures there are and put a sticky note with a number, starting at 1, for each picture. Have guests number a piece of paper from 1 to however many pictures there are. Each guest had to write a name of another guest they think is the baby in the picture. At the end of the shower, compare all the lists (be sure to make a master copy of the correct names). The guest with the most correct answers, wins! (watch out for cheaters!) :)
Find the Pins!
What you need - bowl of uncooked rice and 15-20 baby safety pins
How to play - mix all of the safety pins in the bowl of rice. Each guests gets 1 minute to find all of the safety pins, while, BLINDFOLDED! Make a note of how many each guest finds. The guest who finds the most in 1 minute, wins! Be sure to replace the safety pins in the rice after each guest to set up for the next guest.
